High-end Structure Steel Pipe
Structural pipe for applications that demand high strength, high toughness and reliable weldability — including weather-exposed and marine environments, where dimensional accuracy decides how well the structure assembles on site.
Characteristics
- High strength, high toughness and good welding quality
- Stable structure, suitable for important structural applications
- Often used in weather-resistant conditions, where the pipe must resist atmospheric and marine climate corrosion — normally combined with a protective coating system
- Structural pipe requires more stringent dimensional tolerances than line pipe, in order to guarantee installation quality
Typical grades
ASTM A252 GR.3EN 10219 S355J2H
Application scenarios
1. Marine and port structures. Piles and structural members where impact toughness at low temperature and tolerance on straightness both matter, and where the coating has to survive handling over water.
2. Weather-exposed steel structures. Long-span and heavy structures where atmospheric corrosion resistance is obtained through the coating system rather than the steel grade, and where weldability determines the fabrication schedule.
3. Heavy equipment and plant frames. Frames and supports where the pipe acts as a structural member and dimensional consistency across the batch simplifies assembly.

Structure pipe questions
Why are tolerances tighter for structural pipe?
Because the pipe is assembled into a structure rather than joined pipe-to-pipe along a right of way. Ovality, straightness and end squareness affect how the members fit, so they are controlled more tightly than for line pipe.
Can the pipe be supplied cut to length or fabricated?
Cutting to length, beveling and other preparation can be arranged. Tell us the fabrication requirement at the inquiry stage so it is included in the quotation and the production plan.
Is galvanizing available?
Galvanizing or a paint system can be arranged as a coating package; the system is selected according to the exposure conditions and the required service life.
